University or High school????

For the past two days, I definitely have had the least number of hrs of sleep in my entire life! I don't like the way how university's courses are outlined. Midterms are worth 25%  and Finals are worth 50% of the entire grade (on an average course) This often stresses me out so much! It is very scary coz mistakes are not tolerated in this world. Every single mark you lose does count! You pass or fail are based on how well you do on the exam. Scary eh?

I do miss being in high school. Here are some of the reasons:
1) Less stressful x10
2) Teachers are very lenient on extending deadlines on assignments/tests. (Handing assignment in a minute late is not a big deal)
3) I miss competing on the sport teams
4) Failing Exams & Midterms do you ruin your future coz they screw up your GPA...whereas in high school, this doesn't matter as much
5) It is easy to ask for help (you don't need to make an appointment like nowadays)
6) I miss just needing to spend 4mins on transportation to get to school (unlike now: takes an hr just to get there)

However, university does have its own FUN I suppose
so here are some of the reasons on why I would prefer university over high school:
1) No one cares about stupid things (you don't need to dress like a model at school everyday coz NO ONE cares)
2) Way less drama
3) The social group is much bigger.
4) No one cares if you pull a cellphone out in class, you can pretty much do whatever in class as not as it's not a distraction to others
5) People are more real
6) some courses have no assignments at all = less homework (However, you do self-studying mostly except no one checks your homework)

If anyone has anything they'd like to add on the list, feel free to comment below!! I am very curious as to what everyone's opinions are on high school and/or university

QUESTION for those who read my blog: Do you prefer HIGH SCHOOL or UNIVERSITY???? Pick one! :)

  1. Did you just say way less drama in uni? Flo, where have you been? :P
Not having to look super awesome every day = one of the best things about uni!
I'm gonna say high school was better, mainly because the teachers actually knew who I was and I got to see all my friends every day, not just when our schedules happen to work out

that's a very good point about having teachers who actually try to connect with students....but the schedule does suck :(

  2. I don't have any drama lol, Idk what you guys are up to over there XD I miss having socializing as a part of my school day, but I love how much I learn at university! (And how interesting it is.) Also I got lucky with music all the classes are really small so pretty much all my profs know my name.

    1. University is fascinating for sure. It's just a lot of work but I mean it's not like it's a surprise or anything. We all expected it to be. lol It must be nice to be in smaller classes. :P

  3. I like that I'm not taking math and that I can take more classes that are about what I actually find interesting instead of boring classes that I NEED to take like Physics or Chemistry.

I miss a lot about high school, one of them being all the clubs and teams that I was involved in. I miss the production so much and I also miss Reach for the Top and believe it or not, I miss band.
I miss those outlets for creativity.

I also miss all my peeps that ran away to different sides of the country.

    1. That's true. You get to pick courses that you actually enjoy! haha Band, it was really fun I have to say. I miss all those inside jokes. Occasionally, I would pull out the Mr. Cism that kk made back in grade 11. Good times :)
I miss our big group of friends. Even though we go to the same school now but we don't see each other that often anymore :( That makes me sad :(
