Ma NEW Toy

For those of you who knows, I have been craving for an ultrabook for a REALLY long time. GUESS WHAT?! I finally got one!!!!!!! :) It's a 13.3" Sony Viao T Series Ultrabook laptop. I felt in love with it at my first sight. It is in silver and it seems to be quite durable with the Aluminium body. It has a 3rd gen intel core i5 processor, a battery life of 8 hrs. It uses the solid state drive, which runs much faster. This ultrabook is like a MacBook Air in a way but it runs the PC program. The touch pad is highly sensitive. It performs the similar features with all those tricks that a Macbook's touch pad does, ie. use two fingers to scroll page up and down, three fingers to go to the next page, pinch to zoom in or out, twirl the pad to rotate images etc. Since PS3s are operated by Sony as well, this ultrabook can be used as a keyboard to operate the console. There are sooo many cool things that I love about this laptop. I have been playing around with it lots. This baby does not come cheap but I will take extremely good care of it so hopefully, it pays off :)

PS: I can skype with my webcam now :P yayy!!!

Council Retreat Camp

I was at a student council retreat camp over the weekend. It took place at Lundar, which is a 1&1/2 hr drive from the perimeter. I was there for the whole weekend. I have not done any outdoor camping in such a long time! The last time that I did any sort of LEGIT camping would probably be in grade 5.
This camping trip was the BEST camping experience that I have ever had. The mosquitoes were the suckish part but other than that, it was a great time!
This specific camp site in Lundar is extremely hard to find. You'd think it's a small town, how bad can it be! Apparently, we are supposed to turn onto this hidden road. After half an hr of searching, someone from on the council came and lead us to the camp site. FAIL... it was quite embarrassing lol
The first night, we had a bon fire. We had this crazy drunk dude wandering around the bon fire and told a whole bunch of jokes. He was so drunk that he flashed himself. Geezzz. good thing I looked away. It was NOT a pretty scene. He was so drunk that he tossed his shoe and his shirt into the fire. SMART! He was the entertainer for the night with no doubt. There were soooo many racist jokes. We had two beer pong games between the Asians vs the Caucasians. The Asians (even though there were only 3 Asians out of 25 ppl that were there) owned it all! That night, my tent had some companies joining in. We played President aka Ass Hole for a few hours late at night (or I shall say in the morning). At one point, we just wanted to go to sleep but nooooo, the Super Frosh decided to have a group convo right by our tent for the entire night!!! I was only able to sleep for 2 hrs. What a typical camping night!
The second day, we did some archery, shot some fake deer targets. I was terrible at it. :P We also went to a really pretty quarry that were nearby and did some swimming. Afterwards, we did some shootings with a rifle. It was just GREAT! The second night was so dead silent that everyone had a pretty decent sleep because we all were so worn out from the day.
The third day was just composed of cleaning up and packing. Once I got home, I did some laundry and went to work for an 8 hr shift. I collapsed by the end of the day but it was all worth it!

Words are So Powerful!

The older that I am, the more that I realize how powerful words can be! What you say and how you say the same sentence can be very influential, sometimes, they can be very harmful as a listener. In the past week, my mood has been fluctuating lots. It went from happy to depressed within a split second easily every single time when I thought about this issue that occurred lately. Sometimes, I just want to travel back in time and wish none of these has occurred. This is a total stereotype but I have observed that girls are generally more talkative and are usually the ones who create the drama (aka gossip girls) but guess what, guys can totally do the same as well, which I am really shocked to see. A lesson that I have learnt is that you can never judge a person based on its cover. You may think: No duh, obviously, but let me tell you, as simple as this sounds, it is definitely hard to process! A person may seem nice and all but you can never underestimate what they are capable of doing. Some people are so fake that they may act super nice around you but once you leave, they have a different personality as if they have two sides in them. I just do not understand these people. Seriously, if you have the gut to create those dramas, you should have the gut to tell/face this victim directly! I guess if this is the way that they decide to deal with things, the chances are that they probably do not have that many real friends considering they have been so fake for their entire life.

While I was driving down the road yesterday, my vehicle got rear-ended. I got out of the car and exchanged info with this lady. Her apology was "I am so sorry. My heel slipped." I was actually not impressed with this excuse but on the other hand, I totally understand how it is to drive around with heels. It is definitely  not easy. Walking in them is difficult enough, imagine if you have to drive around with them. Fortunately, she did not do much visible damages to the vehicle so I let it slide.

What's NEW???

I definitely haven't been updating my blog lately because of school. A whole bunch of stuff happened. I'm just going to list them all out because it will just be easier that way.

1) School's out!!! I had my lit's finals yesterday. I wrote two 800 words essay within 2 hours and that was very exhausting! I felt light-headed and had a headache after I handed in my paper. It was probably from lack of sleep and my extremely high level of stress. Anyways, it is OVER!!! yayyy! :)

2) I had this double date with this guy that I got introduced by a friend. We went to watch District 9 together. It was pretty awesome.

3) There was this epic car accident today that happened in front of Polo Park and I happened to witness the whole situation. An air conditioner flew right out of a van's trunk that was not closed properly and it slid across the road causing this loud squeaking noise. When it slid across, the air conditioner hit the vehicle that was driving right behind it, leaving this massive dent on the side bumper of that vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured, otherwise it would end up pretty ugly :S

4) I have been practicing lots of piano :)

5) My phone started acting out really weird just now and every single time when I tried pressing onto the spacebar button, the screen turned black on me as in I have triggered an explosive bomb.....whyyy??!! This spacebar button is very essential. I didn't realize its importance until it is now gone :'(

I don't think it's just the spacebar anymore, I found this out as I am texting while writing this blog......my phone is dying for real. Remember the times that I complained about my phone? I regret it, my phone was lovely.....I miss the way that it worked so fine before.

6) From now and on, I get to sleep in on weeekdays!!! :)

Spring Classes!

I have been super busy with school and work for the past 2 weeks so I haven't been able to write the blog.....
Two weeks ago, I just started my spring classes. One of the classes that I'm taking is Literature. Since it's only a one-month course, it goes at such an insane pace. I am on my 4th novel in less than 2 weeks of school. I have already done an essay, on top of that, there have been lots of article, short stories, poems readings. I try to keep up with all my readings as much as possible. I read pretty much at every break that I have at work. I force myself to read on the bus to and back from school (usually I get motion sickness when reading on moving vehicles but I have gotten better recently). This just has gotten to the point that I don't find reading to be fun anymore. In fact, I am kind of sick of it. It has just been too much! I would not mind reading at all if these are actually good novels but they are not unfortunately, which really sucks :( Oh well, 2 more weeks and it'll be all OVER!!
Kay Remember the flirt that I was talking about awhile back on my blog? He is still around and has been messaging me everyday ever since. Yesterday, he showed up in the middle of my lit class unannounced. This would not be as bad if he came in on time but nooooo, he decided to come in late. Since my class is fairly small, my prof recognizes every single on of his students. Yesterday, this guy decided to come in in the middle of the lecture so when he walked in, the entire class glanced right at him as he entered. Then the prof began to ask him if he belonged to this class. He responded he just wanted to come and sit in for this one class. The prof was very generous so he was let in. This guy decided to come and sit right beside me. Honestly, it was such an embarrassing and awkward moment for me! I was actually shocked that he actually remembered I was in that class as I have only mentioned once to him. During the entire lecture, he kept on distracting me, I don't really know what he wanted exactly but all I know is that he was trying to seek for my attention. I found it to be very annoying for some reason!
Today, he showed up in my other class unannounced again! He is starting to get on my nerves. It seems to me that he has nothing else better to do than to surprise me in my classes..............it's frustrating.

What a Small World!

Today I was at work and I took an order of a customer whose face looked really familiar. He looked just like my cousin who is currently studying for medicine in Australia. I could not keep my eyes off this person while I was taking his order. He had to be someone I know! He could not possibly be my cousin considering he lives sooo far away from Winnipeg! Seriously, who was he? I was thinking to myself, he was probably one of the people who I met from volunteering. Then I saw him glancing at me for 2 whole seconds when I was getting his drink. okay....That's weird!! We didn't say anything to each other. Then he sat down and began to have his meal.
This was one of those things that would totally bug me for the entire night if I didn't figure out who he really was so I went up to him and asked if we had met before. He looked right at me and called my name out. He recognized me!! He WAS my cousin from Australia!!!!!! It was the craziest moment ever. Apparently, he just arrived in Winnipeg yesterday. He is here for his clinical practice which takes place at HSC.
It was very unreal for for me to see his appearance in Winnipeg unexpectedly! He had no idea where I worked beforehand, it's just happened to be a coincidence that we ran into each other. Seriously, what were the chances that we would run into each other in Winnipeg on his 2nd day of his arrival! What a small world! Apparently, he wanted to say something when he saw me but he did not want to make things weird if he recognized me as the wrong person, which was totally understandable! Anyways, we chatted for a bit and we're going to get together tomorrow!!!! I'm so excited!
That was my adventure at work today. This totally made my day! It is indeed true that this is a SMALL world!

Im Officially Done!!!

I just had my last exam, WOOT!!! Now I can actually go and enjoy my half-a-month-break before my spring class begins. :P
I have been considering of getting a laptop or even an ultrabook. For those of you who are not sure what an ultrabook is, let me fill you in. It's a super thin and light laptop, think of it as a MacBook Air except it's in a PC version instead.

I was browsing around and I found this ultrabook, Asus Zenbook to be very attracting!!! The moment I saw it, I felt like I was in love with it, not literally, otherwise, that would just be weird. I like it very much not just because it is HOT PINK, the screen resolution, weight, and overall, the Zenbook is very comparable with MacBook. A friend of mine actually owns the exact same model but in silver. She likes it very much. It is extremely light, which is the biggest reason of why I am getting it. I want to get a laptop that it is portable. My backpack is heavy enough already, I don't need to carry another 7pounds of object around. This Zenbook would come in very very handy. However, I am debating whether I should actually get this or not because I tried typing on this laptop of my friend's, I found the keyboard to be quite insensitive. It annoys me when I try to type fast. In order for the computer to sense the key, I have to press onto the very bottom of it. This could be an issue....I have to think this through if I actually decided to get it.

I HATE EXAMS!

I have been up since 4am this morning. I know I shouldn't be writing my blog right now but I feel the need to express my feelings. It is EXAM WEEK as all of you are aware of. I have been super stressed out this week overall. I feel like I have gained at least 10 pounds just over the exam week on its own. I skipped my workout days and spent the majority of my time studying and eating. I had ZERO exercise whatsoever. It's quite depressing. I didn't have much sleep either.. I have definitely turned into a night owl..
Anyways, I should go sleep now.

What a Day!

I'm soooo tired! Last night, I didn't get home until 10:30pm. It's not that I had work, it's that I had a lab, a meeting and a ballroom class. I love taking ballroom dances. My instructor has such a great sense of humour. He is extremely patient. Apparently, he is a chem prof at the university. I bet he is an excellent prof!
I attempted to get things done after my shower and late supper once I got home, of course, it didn't work out. I crashed at my desk....so this morning when I woke up, I had the biggest heart attack ever! I still needed to finish my physics lab report, which was due today! It took me the entire morning/afternoon to get it done finally. I almost missed my bus to go to work......Thank goodness for the stop sign that was by the bus station. The bus driver stopped and let me on. Whoever invented that stop sign is definitely my life savor!
Work has been making me quite angry lately! They schedule me to work on the days that I'm most busy with school work!! like NOW, when finals are upcoming! Really???!!! *SIGH*

What else is new??? I got appointed as a secretary on UMES for next year. I'll get an office and get to attend executive meetings along with the council meetings!!! :) I'm so pumped.

That's all for now! Good luck with all your finals and have funnnn studying!!! :)

He is a FLIRT

I met this guy a few months ago but I never really talked to him elsewhere besides seeing him in engineering occasionally until two days ago. While I was helping out in engin, this guy saw me and stopped by. Then we began to start talking. We then talked and talked and talked for 2 whole hours straight. It was pretty nice. This guy was quite easy to talk to but he was such a big flirt. The way that he talked, the body language that he projected just held my attention the whole time. LOL. Not to mention he is kinda cute. He is definitely a womanizer. We had a pretty good time. He walked me to the bus stop when I left. I got home that night and while I was on fb, he started messaging me. We talked for another hour and a half. Oh boy...I just wasted my whole evening on chat.

The LOUDEST Scream Ever

I was in the engineering building yesterday and I was asked to watch the movie trailer of "Drag Me to Hell" because apparently, it's quite scary. I am one of those people who get scared easily but at the same time, I like watching horrors. I was curious when they said that the trailer was quite freaky so I decided to watch it. My friend pulled out her laptop right away and they turned the volume all the way to the max. At the part that the old creepy woman appeared in the main character's bed from nowhere, I got really creeped out. It was really sudden that I was about to jump. At the same time, this was when one of my friends decided to jump up behind me intentionally. I SCREAMED from the top of my lungs in this super high pitch tone that lasted for two whole seconds. It was so loud that the entire engineering building could hear me easily I am not surprised. After my scream, the whole building was silent. The bypassers stopped what they were doing, looked right at me and then laughed so hard afterwards. Well, that was a bit embarrassing but I mean it's not my fault that I had to scream. That pop up scene along with the Hollywood sound effect was scary enough, on top of that, getting jumped behind by a person unexpectedly was not helping at all!! This almost gave me a heart attack.
I was told that I would make a good SCREAMER in a movie. LOL

If you're interested in watching the trailer, here it is!

THE PIE GIRL

Success in showcase!!!! DONE!! Now I have one less thing to worry about!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It is such a beautiful day outside! It's the perfect weather to go for a run, which I am really wanting to do but I am still sore from working out in the gym last night.

Yesterday in Calc class, we got our exam paper back! I was quite excited coz I studied lots for it. The prof usually calls out every single one of the student's name so they can go up to the front of the class and get their exams back. When it comes to my name, he didn't even bother calling it, he just looked right at me and said, "The girl who got pied" At first, I didn't even know whose name he was actually calling so I remained at my seat. Then prof remained looking right into my direction of where I'm sitting without saying anything. It lasted for a few seconds. That's when the whole class got super quiet and half of the class's eyes followed the prof's glance and looked right at me. People who sat behind me used their fingers and pointed at me. Then I realized he was actually referring to ME.........lol
For those who are confused, let me fill you in. Here is the story behind it. There was this pie week event going on at school last month. People can pay $5 to send a pie to anyone. It's a fundraising event, it's fun and it's for a good cause. It's a win-win situation. That sounds familiar eh?! (Only those who were in band at SHS would get this) lol On the day of my birthday, one of my friends decided to send me a pie! During Calc class, I got called up to the front of this huge lecture hall in front of 150 students and got a pie shoved in my face. What a lovely way to start off my morning of this big day! It was yummy though I had to admit but it got kinda gross afterwards. How would you like your face to be covered with sugar for the rest of your day, and not to mention it was sticky! I guess it could be even worse if the whip cream got on your hair. I was glad that I had my bangs up so my hair was pie-free.After I got pied, everyone seemed to have a blast, they laughed... GREAT!

Ever since then, I guess now I am recognized as "The girl who got pied" :P

University or High school????

For the past two days, I definitely have had the least number of hrs of sleep in my entire life! I don't like the way how university's courses are outlined. Midterms are worth 25%  and Finals are worth 50% of the entire grade (on an average course) This often stresses me out so much! It is very scary coz mistakes are not tolerated in this world. Every single mark you lose does count! You pass or fail are based on how well you do on the exam. Scary eh?

I do miss being in high school. Here are some of the reasons:
1) Less stressful x10
2) Teachers are very lenient on extending deadlines on assignments/tests. (Handing assignment in a minute late is not a big deal)
3) I miss competing on the sport teams
4) Failing Exams & Midterms do you ruin your future coz they screw up your GPA...whereas in high school, this doesn't matter as much
5) It is easy to ask for help (you don't need to make an appointment like nowadays)
6) I miss just needing to spend 4mins on transportation to get to school (unlike now: takes an hr just to get there)

However, university does have its own FUN I suppose
so here are some of the reasons on why I would prefer university over high school:
1) No one cares about stupid things (you don't need to dress like a model at school everyday coz NO ONE cares)
2) Way less drama
3) The social group is much bigger.
4) No one cares if you pull a cellphone out in class, you can pretty much do whatever in class as not as it's not a distraction to others
5) People are more real
6) some courses have no assignments at all = less homework (However, you do self-studying mostly except no one checks your homework)

If anyone has anything they'd like to add on the list, feel free to comment below!! I am very curious as to what everyone's opinions are on high school and/or university

QUESTION for those who read my blog: Do you prefer HIGH SCHOOL or UNIVERSITY???? Pick one! :)

Sunday, 4 March 2012

I really shouldn't be on blog right now but I don't feel like doing anything else even though I have a mid-term tomorrow. *sigh*

I worked for 10 hours yesterday so that was very very tiring!! On Friday, I watched the varsity girls' Tier 2 basketball Championship game: SHS vs.St. James. At one point, it was a close match. However, SHS got defeated by 7 points at the end. I was only able to make it to the 2nd half of the game because my physics lab got extended. Throughout the game, I screamed my lungs out and cheered for SHS! It's definitely not the smartest idea because I lost my voice the next morning. I'm glad my voice came back before work started, otherwise, it'd be bad......

I should go study now considering I have 2 mid-terms, 2 tests and a Lab report that's due this week.....I need all the time I can get! Wish me luck!

Tuesday, 28 February 2012

Today my bus decided to come late. Not just a few minutes late, it was delayed for 10 whole mins. It would not be a big deal if I wasn't in a hurry but I had school....It was so late that when my bus came, the next bus that was supposed to come after both came at the same time (so there were two of the same #'s buses coming in back to back) The worst thing is that since I arrived to my transfer stop late, I missed my transfer. I ended up waiting for half an hr for the next bus to arrive. I barely made it to class on time!

I got my critical paper back. I freaked out when I saw the mark.....so I went to talk to the prof and figured out what I got wrong exactly. It turned out that there were some mistakes that were made on his part so I ended up walking out with 11.5 more points!! I was quite excited about that.

I just made an enemy apparently. This person who has always been so friendly to me stopped saying hi to me when we walked by each other today. I would say he probably just didn't see me (to comfort myself) but the fact is that he was less than a foot away when he passed by. I mean what are the odds that he missed me?! This is upsetting because all it happened was because I rejected him.......

For those of you who don't know who I'm referring to and is super curious, please send me a text.

Today is the last FREE day before tortures are yet to come again! (aka last day of reading week)......

Oh geez, time does fly by. Let's see what I have accomplished over this break!
1) Enjoyed myself
2) Trying to get over the douche-bag
3) Hung out with friends
4) Got LOTS of sleep
5) Watched Puss in Boots (This is one of my new favourite movies now, Puss is so cute)
6) Work Work and Work
7) Had ballroom class-it's not the same anymore :(
8) Biggest Accomplishment: STARTED my own BLOG!!!

Stuff that I planned on doing but NEVER got them done:
1) Write Resumes
2) Read a few novels
3) Get lots of READING done for school
4) Forget about him COMPLETELY
5) Study

Overall, this break was semi-productive, actually no not really. Sigh......  Only if I could travel back in time, I would totally complete this UNDONE list.

Welcome to Breezer's Blog!

The BLOG is finally up!

Last week has been very hectic due to school, work and my personal life. I have had my ups and downs. No matter how stressful school could be, my friends somehow managed to make my days go faster! :) They are beyond awesome I have to say!

I am so glad that reading week has finally come. Thank goodness! Seriously, if I had to be in school for a few more days, I probably would have collapsed. I just broke up with my boyfriend a few days ago. Even though it was absolutely the right decision but it was still very upsetting. Now I am just trying to get over this relationship. It has been challenging. I constantly have to keep myself busy so I don't have to think about him.

Over the reading week, I haven't been doing much productive thing. The most that I did would probably be hanging out with my friends, which I do enjoy very much! I have had my 19th birthday party last weekend and it was a blast. A friend of mine who just arrived in from BC was able to make it to my party so I was very excited!

I will try to update this blog as much as possibly. However, I do procrastinate a lot I have to admit........not intentionally though. :P
