Ma NEW Toy

For those of you who knows, I have been craving for an ultrabook for a REALLY long time. GUESS WHAT?! I finally got one!!!!!!! :) It's a 13.3" Sony Viao T Series Ultrabook laptop. I felt in love with it at my first sight. It is in silver and it seems to be quite durable with the Aluminium body. It has a 3rd gen intel core i5 processor, a battery life of 8 hrs. It uses the solid state drive, which runs much faster. This ultrabook is like a MacBook Air in a way but it runs the PC program. The touch pad is highly sensitive. It performs the similar features with all those tricks that a Macbook's touch pad does, ie. use two fingers to scroll page up and down, three fingers to go to the next page, pinch to zoom in or out, twirl the pad to rotate images etc. Since PS3s are operated by Sony as well, this ultrabook can be used as a keyboard to operate the console. There are sooo many cool things that I love about this laptop. I have been playing around with it lots. This baby does not come cheap but I will take extremely good care of it so hopefully, it pays off :)

PS: I can skype with my webcam now :P yayy!!!

Council Retreat Camp

I was at a student council retreat camp over the weekend. It took place at Lundar, which is a 1&1/2 hr drive from the perimeter. I was there for the whole weekend. I have not done any outdoor camping in such a long time! The last time that I did any sort of LEGIT camping would probably be in grade 5.
This camping trip was the BEST camping experience that I have ever had. The mosquitoes were the suckish part but other than that, it was a great time!
This specific camp site in Lundar is extremely hard to find. You'd think it's a small town, how bad can it be! Apparently, we are supposed to turn onto this hidden road. After half an hr of searching, someone from on the council came and lead us to the camp site. FAIL... it was quite embarrassing lol
The first night, we had a bon fire. We had this crazy drunk dude wandering around the bon fire and told a whole bunch of jokes. He was so drunk that he flashed himself. Geezzz. good thing I looked away. It was NOT a pretty scene. He was so drunk that he tossed his shoe and his shirt into the fire. SMART! He was the entertainer for the night with no doubt. There were soooo many racist jokes. We had two beer pong games between the Asians vs the Caucasians. The Asians (even though there were only 3 Asians out of 25 ppl that were there) owned it all! That night, my tent had some companies joining in. We played President aka Ass Hole for a few hours late at night (or I shall say in the morning). At one point, we just wanted to go to sleep but nooooo, the Super Frosh decided to have a group convo right by our tent for the entire night!!! I was only able to sleep for 2 hrs. What a typical camping night!
The second day, we did some archery, shot some fake deer targets. I was terrible at it. :P We also went to a really pretty quarry that were nearby and did some swimming. Afterwards, we did some shootings with a rifle. It was just GREAT! The second night was so dead silent that everyone had a pretty decent sleep because we all were so worn out from the day.
The third day was just composed of cleaning up and packing. Once I got home, I did some laundry and went to work for an 8 hr shift. I collapsed by the end of the day but it was all worth it!

Words are So Powerful!

The older that I am, the more that I realize how powerful words can be! What you say and how you say the same sentence can be very influential, sometimes, they can be very harmful as a listener. In the past week, my mood has been fluctuating lots. It went from happy to depressed within a split second easily every single time when I thought about this issue that occurred lately. Sometimes, I just want to travel back in time and wish none of these has occurred. This is a total stereotype but I have observed that girls are generally more talkative and are usually the ones who create the drama (aka gossip girls) but guess what, guys can totally do the same as well, which I am really shocked to see. A lesson that I have learnt is that you can never judge a person based on its cover. You may think: No duh, obviously, but let me tell you, as simple as this sounds, it is definitely hard to process! A person may seem nice and all but you can never underestimate what they are capable of doing. Some people are so fake that they may act super nice around you but once you leave, they have a different personality as if they have two sides in them. I just do not understand these people. Seriously, if you have the gut to create those dramas, you should have the gut to tell/face this victim directly! I guess if this is the way that they decide to deal with things, the chances are that they probably do not have that many real friends considering they have been so fake for their entire life.

While I was driving down the road yesterday, my vehicle got rear-ended. I got out of the car and exchanged info with this lady. Her apology was "I am so sorry. My heel slipped." I was actually not impressed with this excuse but on the other hand, I totally understand how it is to drive around with heels. It is definitely  not easy. Walking in them is difficult enough, imagine if you have to drive around with them. Fortunately, she did not do much visible damages to the vehicle so I let it slide.

What's NEW???

I definitely haven't been updating my blog lately because of school. A whole bunch of stuff happened. I'm just going to list them all out because it will just be easier that way.

1) School's out!!! I had my lit's finals yesterday. I wrote two 800 words essay within 2 hours and that was very exhausting! I felt light-headed and had a headache after I handed in my paper. It was probably from lack of sleep and my extremely high level of stress. Anyways, it is OVER!!! yayyy! :)

2) I had this double date with this guy that I got introduced by a friend. We went to watch District 9 together. It was pretty awesome.

3) There was this epic car accident today that happened in front of Polo Park and I happened to witness the whole situation. An air conditioner flew right out of a van's trunk that was not closed properly and it slid across the road causing this loud squeaking noise. When it slid across, the air conditioner hit the vehicle that was driving right behind it, leaving this massive dent on the side bumper of that vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured, otherwise it would end up pretty ugly :S

4) I have been practicing lots of piano :)

5) My phone started acting out really weird just now and every single time when I tried pressing onto the spacebar button, the screen turned black on me as in I have triggered an explosive bomb.....whyyy??!! This spacebar button is very essential. I didn't realize its importance until it is now gone :'(

I don't think it's just the spacebar anymore, I found this out as I am texting while writing this blog......my phone is dying for real. Remember the times that I complained about my phone? I regret it, my phone was lovely.....I miss the way that it worked so fine before.

6) From now and on, I get to sleep in on weeekdays!!! :)

Spring Classes!

I have been super busy with school and work for the past 2 weeks so I haven't been able to write the blog.....
Two weeks ago, I just started my spring classes. One of the classes that I'm taking is Literature. Since it's only a one-month course, it goes at such an insane pace. I am on my 4th novel in less than 2 weeks of school. I have already done an essay, on top of that, there have been lots of article, short stories, poems readings. I try to keep up with all my readings as much as possible. I read pretty much at every break that I have at work. I force myself to read on the bus to and back from school (usually I get motion sickness when reading on moving vehicles but I have gotten better recently). This just has gotten to the point that I don't find reading to be fun anymore. In fact, I am kind of sick of it. It has just been too much! I would not mind reading at all if these are actually good novels but they are not unfortunately, which really sucks :( Oh well, 2 more weeks and it'll be all OVER!!
Kay Remember the flirt that I was talking about awhile back on my blog? He is still around and has been messaging me everyday ever since. Yesterday, he showed up in the middle of my lit class unannounced. This would not be as bad if he came in on time but nooooo, he decided to come in late. Since my class is fairly small, my prof recognizes every single on of his students. Yesterday, this guy decided to come in in the middle of the lecture so when he walked in, the entire class glanced right at him as he entered. Then the prof began to ask him if he belonged to this class. He responded he just wanted to come and sit in for this one class. The prof was very generous so he was let in. This guy decided to come and sit right beside me. Honestly, it was such an embarrassing and awkward moment for me! I was actually shocked that he actually remembered I was in that class as I have only mentioned once to him. During the entire lecture, he kept on distracting me, I don't really know what he wanted exactly but all I know is that he was trying to seek for my attention. I found it to be very annoying for some reason!
Today, he showed up in my other class unannounced again! He is starting to get on my nerves. It seems to me that he has nothing else better to do than to surprise me in my classes..............it's frustrating.

What a Small World!

Today I was at work and I took an order of a customer whose face looked really familiar. He looked just like my cousin who is currently studying for medicine in Australia. I could not keep my eyes off this person while I was taking his order. He had to be someone I know! He could not possibly be my cousin considering he lives sooo far away from Winnipeg! Seriously, who was he? I was thinking to myself, he was probably one of the people who I met from volunteering. Then I saw him glancing at me for 2 whole seconds when I was getting his drink. okay....That's weird!! We didn't say anything to each other. Then he sat down and began to have his meal.
This was one of those things that would totally bug me for the entire night if I didn't figure out who he really was so I went up to him and asked if we had met before. He looked right at me and called my name out. He recognized me!! He WAS my cousin from Australia!!!!!! It was the craziest moment ever. Apparently, he just arrived in Winnipeg yesterday. He is here for his clinical practice which takes place at HSC.
It was very unreal for for me to see his appearance in Winnipeg unexpectedly! He had no idea where I worked beforehand, it's just happened to be a coincidence that we ran into each other. Seriously, what were the chances that we would run into each other in Winnipeg on his 2nd day of his arrival! What a small world! Apparently, he wanted to say something when he saw me but he did not want to make things weird if he recognized me as the wrong person, which was totally understandable! Anyways, we chatted for a bit and we're going to get together tomorrow!!!! I'm so excited!
That was my adventure at work today. This totally made my day! It is indeed true that this is a SMALL world!

Im Officially Done!!!

I just had my last exam, WOOT!!! Now I can actually go and enjoy my half-a-month-break before my spring class begins. :P
I have been considering of getting a laptop or even an ultrabook. For those of you who are not sure what an ultrabook is, let me fill you in. It's a super thin and light laptop, think of it as a MacBook Air except it's in a PC version instead.

I was browsing around and I found this ultrabook, Asus Zenbook to be very attracting!!! The moment I saw it, I felt like I was in love with it, not literally, otherwise, that would just be weird. I like it very much not just because it is HOT PINK, the screen resolution, weight, and overall, the Zenbook is very comparable with MacBook. A friend of mine actually owns the exact same model but in silver. She likes it very much. It is extremely light, which is the biggest reason of why I am getting it. I want to get a laptop that it is portable. My backpack is heavy enough already, I don't need to carry another 7pounds of object around. This Zenbook would come in very very handy. However, I am debating whether I should actually get this or not because I tried typing on this laptop of my friend's, I found the keyboard to be quite insensitive. It annoys me when I try to type fast. In order for the computer to sense the key, I have to press onto the very bottom of it. This could be an issue....I have to think this through if I actually decided to get it.
